Know the TEXTURE

The texture is formed by the intertwining of the threads. The vertical threads of the warp, arranged parallel and stretched on the loom, intertwine with the horizontal ones of the weft. The different way of intertwining of the threads constitutes the weave of the texture.

A quality texture must first of all be a “double twisted”, which is the special technique with which the cotton thread is split in two and twisted on itself. This allows us to obtain a much more resistant yarn, soft to the touch, easy to iron, and also the color is brighter.

This type of processing consists in intertwining the threads one by one in the chain and in the weft, in order to obtain a very consistent fabric, which makes the shirt resistant, long-lasting, soft and pleasant to wear.

The double twisted cotton texture is also visibly brighter: your shirt will be less prone to creases and easier to iron.

Oxford single title

Technically it is made with a nattè weave, with the doubling of the warp and weft threads of the same count or with thin threads doubled in the warp and a single thicker and softer weft thread.

Its peculiarity is to have colored warp threads and white weft threads, which accentuates the basket weaving effect by forming a tiny grid. Fresh hand fabric is made with pure cotton yarn.

Double twisted Oxford

It is a fabric that derives from an evolution of the oxford; the effect is that of a fairly granular fabric, but with a texture that seems to be formed by infinite pin points.

Smooth and light fabric, characterized by a finer warp thread than the weft thread.

Twill

Generic texture with twill weave, characterized by diagonal ribs oriented at 45 degrees.

The twill shirt holds the crease well and stands out for its interesting reflections.

Double twisted poplin

It is a cotton texture with a fresh and dry feel. Today it is a very compact and resistant texture albeit very fine and light, produced with different yarns such as cotton and silk.

The streamers are very thin, very twisted and mercerized in such a way as to give as a result a fresh and smooth texture.

Stretch poplin

It is a cotton blend fabric (97% cotton-3% elastic) with a fresh and dry feel. Smooth and shiny fabric, made of cotton and stretch yarn.

A diamond-shaped grain pattern is formed on the surface of the fabric formed by the raised portions of the warp yarns.

Pinpoint

Made with cotton yarns, despite having a very beaten weave with a characteristic granular effect, it is a soft and compact fabric that lends itself to the making of both formal and sports shirts.

Jeans

Made entirely of cotton.

Its characteristics are robustness and resistance (for the material used) combined with a certain adaptability (for the twill weave).

Linen

Linen is a cellulosic fiber derived from the stem of the flax plant. Linen fibers are much stronger and shinier than other textile fibers, produce fresh and absorbent fabrics, yet wrinkle easily. Linen fiber has a high resistance to traction and elongation, is brighter and more silky than other natural textile fibers, and is a hygroscopic fabric, that is, it tends to absorb and release moisture very well.

The linen texture protects from the sun’s rays, and has excellent resistance to degradation due to heat. The natural color of linen varies from yellowish to gray and can be dyed in different ways.

Printed

Textile printing is a process of applying color to pieces of fabric to obtain defined designs. The fabrics can be printed with dyes that penetrate and attach themselves to the textile fibers or with pigments that are conveyed with special binders.

Unlike dyeing, where the fabric is uniformly colored by immersion with a single color, in printing one or more colors are applied only on some parts following a precise graphic or pattern.
